The Vitus 979 as shown in the c. 1987 catalogue showing one of the new colours, anodised violet and the new seat stay cap taking the grub screw seat post fixing

This is made from 5086 Aluminium which is super dense and designed for maximum Aerodynamic advantage.

Condition: B+

Full Mechanical Order/ Little Wear

Item that has been installed on a Bike. Bike has had minimal use. May have an odd scratch.

*Important information*, The rear dropout has been shaved down so it will either be suitable for a single speed or a claw on rear derailleur like the SIS or Tourney Types. Please see photos and compare to final photo of the original frame in 1980's.

There are a few scratches, most notably around the rear triangle due to tyre rube and on the toptube and seat-tube. This is photographed. Overall, the frame is in fantastic condition and ready for a classic build.
