Description
This frameset is superbly crafted featuring elegantly thin tubes and smooth fillet brazing. Although the frameset is missing its badge, the pin positions seem to be in line with the previous owners identification as a Claude Butler.
The fork crown and seat stay bridge also point to this being a Claude Butler from that era.
The paintjob is not original but has been done fairly well in a uniform black coating.
The serial number is as follows 9310931 - The first digit is believed to indicate 1949 as the year of manufacture.

The frame has a couple of minor dings (both photographed), one on the downtube and another on the seat tube. The downtube ding appears to have been caused by the fork crown knocking its underside.
BB shell is in great condition.
